I am Bianca.
Product designer and material researcher working with natural colour, textiles and circular design.
As a product designer, I think in systems. A textile product is never an isolated object. Its story begins with the origin of its fibres and colour. Place, culture, processing, construction, use and what happens afterwards all shape the product. My work combines material research with practical experimentation to develop more responsible textile products and processes.
Nature is central to how I work. Living between Germany and South Africa has sharpened my attention to natural cycles and the ways living systems respond to local conditions. Biomimicry is part of my design process. It helps me look to nature for principles that can inform materials, products and circular systems.
Natural colour connects many parts of my practice. It brings together plants, fibres, cultural knowledge and material processes. Growing dye plants and working directly with textiles keeps my research grounded in the materials themselves.
Through my brand b.natured, this work takes a public and tangible form. Plant-dyed products and hands-on workshops make natural colour accessible through direct experience. At the same time, the dye garden and workshop practice provide space for continued testing, observation and learning.
